Welcome
white_c is a DFKI and EIT ICT Labs spin-off company in the area of Intelligent Mobility and Transportation Systems. DFKI, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, is the leading German research institute in the field of innovative software technology. EIT ICT Labs is a Knowledge and Innovation Community KIC accelerating innovation in Europe.
Driving Simulation (SW/HW)
We provide you with open driving simulation.
OpenDS is a flexible and expandable driving simulation software for industrial research and development. It is also used in scientific experiments in the automotive industry as well as in the areas of mobility and transportation. OpenDS is an open-source software and includes a set of standards (dimensions, driving tasks, tests, ...) that was previously available on paper only. OpenDS thus ensures a safe testing of new assistance systems. White_c provides you with professional installation and application support.

Driving Safety Studies
We offer driving simulator studies, including driver distraction and behavioral studies on OpenDS in our own simulator lab. Our laboratory includes a static driving simulator with 180 ° 3D projection. We have years of experience, a number of international publications, recognition in the scientific community (Automotive, Driver Assessment). We work together with the Federal Highway Research Institute, MOT, vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers. New scientific results and methods (DFKI) are transmitted on an ongoing basis.
3D Documentation
We measure your world.
Our laser scanners record the entire environment up to 120m (in a single pass) and turn it into a three dimensional digital model. Individual scans taken from different positions are automatically connected, thus enabling even complex structures and objects (e.g. buildings) to be completely and accurately documented.
You will receive:
- Measurements of any distances and surface determination
- Precise 2D survey images for floor plans and sectors in photo quality
- Views of e.g. a storefront, with all deformation taken into account
- All-around panoramas, animations or videos
